Our next neighborhood events are both in the Shartel Median. On Sunday, December 7th is the Christmas Tree decorating party; sleigh rides, cookies, hot drinks, etc. will accompany the stringing of Cheerios and the creation of other decorations that the birds can eat. We will also erect the Menorah. On Sunday, December 21st, the Shamash and the first candle of the Menorah will be lit at sundown to mark the beginning of Chanukah.

The 36th Street Neighborhood Coalition currently is comprised of neighbors from CH-EH
and the Edgemere Park neighborhood. The Coalition formed in July 2007 in response to
the potential sale and development of land at NW 36th Street and Harvey Parkway.
The Coalition’s goal is to be an informational source and steering committee to interact
with the prospective developer and communicate the concerns of neighbors. The last year
has been spent meeting with neighbors and the prospective developer, and gathering
relevant information from other sources on issues related to land development. The
Coalition plans to be involved in discussions with any potential developer and the
City of Oklahoma City.
